Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Gabe Corchiani credits his love for basketball to his late father, a former high school basketball coach. Gabe had an illustrious collegiate career at the University of New Orleans before becoming a successful and well-respected businessman in the community.
Continuing his involvement in the sport, Corchiani founded DunkDog.com in late 2011 as a youth basketball social-networking platform. Additionally, he cemented his place as one of the most successful travel circuit coaches in youth basketball, appearing in three consecutive AAU National Championship contests from 2010-2012, and winning back-to-back titles in 2011 (7th grade) and 2012 (8th grade) while recording hundreds of victories.
In the spring of 2013, Corchiani stepped away from DunkDog.com to pursue other business ventures, but continues to support the organization and its mission.
Spencer Pulliam oversees DunkDog.com’s business operations while also specializing in youth basketball. Nearing a decade of industry experience dedicated almost entirely to the middle school sector, Pulliam is widely considered the leading authority with regard to identifying and projecting junior high talent nationwide.
Since 2005, more than 83% of prospects ranked by Pulliam in the top ten nationally while in seventh and/or eighth grade have been selected as McDonald’s and/or Jordan Brand All-American Game participants as high school seniors. Further, more than 70% of prospects ranked by Pulliam in the aforementioned graduating classes that were rated among the top twenty-five nationally as seventh and/or eighth graders have achieved the same status.
Today, Pulliam recommends prospects to prestigious organizations such as USA Basketball, CP3 Rising Stars, and John Lucas Enterprises among others, while also remaining heavily involved with many of the nation’s most competitive middle school team-oriented tournaments.
A native and resident of Richmond, Virginia, Corey Pegram leads day-to-day operations for DunkDog.com’s NCAA-certified scouting/recruiting service, and is primarily responsible for high school content and rankings, while also serving as a contributing editor.
A 2013 graduate of Wake Forest University, Pegram is quickly becoming a recognized and respected analyst in grassroots basketball due to his precise eye for talent, thorough evaluations, and unique writing style.
Already considered by many collegiate coaches and fellow scouts as one of the foremost authorities on high school prospects in the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, Pegram logs as many miles as anyone identifying talent and covering events throughout the country.
A resident of Memphis, Tennessee, Charles ‘Chuck’ Lawson is an esteemed scout and recruiting analyst with more than a decade of industry experience. Lawson focuses on reporting about prospects in the Eastern United States and has helped establish DunkDog.com as one of the premier destinations for grassroots basketball coverage.
Lawson first earned acclaim through his work as founder and owner of 901PrepScoop, which allowed him the opportunity to evaluate talented players of all grades in the Greater Memphis area and throughout the southeastern United States.
After initially working as a contributing writer for DunkDog.com, Lawson accepted an expanded role as Youth Scouting/Recruiting Director for the East Coast in 2013. Lawson’s evaluations have earned him praise from many publications and peers as he continues to cultivate his reputation nationally.
A resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Jeff Meadows has been involved with grassroots basketball since the early 1990s. He’s served as an analyst and in an editorial capacity, worked in broadcasting, as well as being a tournament director and organizer for many of the top events in southwest United States.
Meadows’ work has appeared in print for numerous publications, including Street & Smith Magazine, as well as USA Today. Additionally, he has served in a leading role for popular online platforms such as AZ Game Cast, AZ Hoops Report, Arizona Preps, Hoops Report, and Prep Champs.
Currently, Meadows serves as the Director of West Coast Scouting/Recruiting for DunkDog.com, providing leads and insight top prospects and breaking team news. Having seen many of the nation’s top talents at the high school level for more than two decades, Meadows’ influence and network in amateur basketball is far-reaching.
A resident of Atlanta, Georgia, following his graduation from Virginia State University in 2009, Gordon has had his work featured on various basketball recruiting websites as well as Patch.com, Yahoo.com, and in print with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Gordon’s work has allowed him to live in various locations throughout the United States and he has been involved with basketball in many regions. A Mass Communications major, Gordon serves a primary role as contributing staff writer for DunkDog.com, but also has editorial and media relations experience.
Gordon’s involvement in grassroots scouting currently extends across the southeastern United States, and he makes it a priority to be in the gym, constantly identifying potential recruits before they reach the national recruiting radar.
A native of Northern Virginia, Adam Richardson is a talented young writer and evaluator, who is quickly making a name for himself in grassroots basketball through his contributions at DunkDog.com.
Currently enrolled at Wake Forest University, Richardson is a newcomer to the scouting/recruiting industry, but has a talent for conducting interviews and providing detailed content.
Richardson also assists with regional event coverage as well as player evaluations and reports. His work from events such as the Carolina Challenge and NIKE’s E.Y.B.L. tournament series, among others, has already garnered praise from respected members of the basketball community.
A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Mark Malek currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina and attends N.C. State University. Enrolled in the Graphic Design program, Malek focuses his attention on freelance work in his field, and specializes in branding for new companies through various logos and design projects.
Malek served as the project manager and lead graphic design artist for the inaugural DunkDog.com All-American Game. His design strategies, branding expertise, as well as creation of website pages, graphics, and the official game logo were all instrumental aspects in the success of the first year event.
Malek also oversees the editing of all player profiles on DunkDog.com in addition to his many other ventures with the company.
